How do I book an appointment?

The easiest way is to download the Booksy app.  It lets you:

  • Search for the salon nearest to you, and then
  • Choose the service that suits you, and
  • Search for a date and time that suits you.

Once you have made your decision, Booksy will send you a reminder by text or email. 

If you prefer, you can also use the link to Booksy on our social media platforms (apart from YouTube), or by phoning the salon on 02920 213957.

Do you take walk-in clients at your salons?

Under the current Covid-19 government guidelines for barbers to ‘keep visitors safe’ we are required to operate an appointment-only system.  Such a system has been normal practice at Sage since we began because our regular clients tell us that it means they don’t waste time queuing and waiting at a barber’s and they can fit their hair appointment into their day with confidence.

Under normal (non-Covid-19) circumstances if you were to call in to our salons we would be happy to offer you the next available appointment slot.

What should I do if I miss my appointment?

If you unfortunately miss your appointment then not to worry.  We will arrange your next cut at a more suitable time for you in the future.  Depending on the situation, we may have to invoke our cancellation policy – see below

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We realise that we all have to cancel appointments for various reasons – we just respectfully ask that you let us know as soon as you are aware of your need to cancel so that we can let another client take the slot, if possible, and help you to re-arrange your own appointment.

We also realise that some reasons for needing to cancel an appointment are due to situations outside your control such as family bereavement, injury on route to the shop, mode of transport breaking down unexpectedly and the like.

However, due to past experience, we unfortunately find it necessary to put in place a policy of recording when clients cancel, or fail to show up, without giving such reasons.  After we have noted 3 cancellations where there are no ‘outside your control’ reasons a client will be blocked from making any further appointments unless a payment of £20 is made.  Making the payment will remove you from the blocked list.  Without the payment we will not allow that client to make a booking with us in future.

Which barber shall I book with? (Stylist or Barber?)

Here at Sage our aim is to provide you with an excellent and easy hairstyling experience.  So choosing a barber to book with is very simple.  All our barbers are put through an intensive training course in order to develop in-depth knowledge in all aspects, lengths and textures of hair. and then they are regularly assessed and trained to ensure that they are continually improving and keeping up to date with the latest styles and techniques.  All our barbers therefore to a high standard and thus the price you pay is the same regardless of which barber you choose.

The only exception is for our regular apprentice barbers where the price is 50% of the standard price for the duration of their (intensive) training.  All apprentices are supervised while cutting clients’ hair.

Which barber shall I book with?

Choosing a barber to book with is very simple. We do have a set price for Sage qualified and regular apprentice barbers. Here at Sage, all of our barbers are put through an intensive training course. In order to develop knowledge in all aspects, lengths and textures of hair. This course also helps us to improve our barbers regularly, as we aim to provide a high level of haircutting experience throughout our salons. Choosing a barber isn’t difficult as we believe that all of our barbers have the ability to carry out the same standard of work, through our structured way of doing things. If you would also like a discounted haircut, feel free to try our apprentice barbers who will be vigorously watched to insure you leave with a high-quality haircut!

What is your refund policy?

Our full refund policy is stated on ‘Refund’ and ‘Terms and Conditions’. We offer a full refund on all products within 30 days, as long as the product hasn’t been used. See both links for more details.

How do I know which product is for me?

In order to understand which products are perfect for each style, we need to make sure that you understand your hair for yourself. If you head over to our YouTube, you can stay up-to-date with our latest hair content including; which product works well for each style and how to get the most out of our styling and treatment range. New videos will be posted regularly. If you are in the salon, or if you still need further assistance, feel free to drop one of the team at Sage a message and we will be able to advise you in the best way possible.

What should I do if I haven’t had a good experience with Sage?

Tell us. As soon as you feel that way. All of us at Sage aim to give you a passionate and precise haircut experience, but we accept that things can sometimes go wrong. So if you’re not satisfied with your haircut, please talk to, or send a message to, your selected barber/stylist or to the salon manager and explain what you think isn’t quite right and we will do whatever we can to remedy the situation.
